Toni Leland's News for November

Hard to believe the holidays are almost upon us. As I write this, the first snow flies outside my window – a sharp contrast to 2 days ago when the temperature was 65!

My fall garden columns for Norwich Magazine have been all about preparing for the long winter's sleep in the garden. What to do, when, and how to do it. Not particularly exciting to write about, but very necessary!

More fun was an interview with the Eastern Connecticut Ballet about their upcoming celebrations of the 25-year mark, and a fun visit with an amazing horsewoman, Stacey Stearns, for Connecticut Horse.
I spent two days at Equine Affaire in Springfield, MA with Taborton Books promoting my Kovak & Quaid Mystery Series, and catching up with old and new friends.

Another interesting Master Gardener class was all about raised beds – what you can and cannot do. I'm now thinking about trying my hand at this, come spring.
First Snow!

The coming weeks will be filled with a frenzy of activities, plans, and hopes and dreams. May you all
have a blessed Thanksgiving and embrace this season to focus on what's dear to you.
